My girlfriend is somewhat anti-bx but due to a knee injury she now owns the black GTi Auto previously owned by the above!

Have spent today cleaning the interior and giving it a check over. The only things that seem to need doing are one of the rear arm bearings and possibly 4 spheres, the accumulator is OK though.

It could do with a set of silver alloys and a good polish now!

Hi Ian, sounds like it's what you (or rather your gal) need. As far as the rear arm bearings go I had them checked in Nov 2005 and the o/s one was replaced. The other still had some life left in it.

Mate if you want them silver alloys ive bought you can have them, I paid £40 for them but would need collecting from swindon. Failing that I will take you to collect them next sunday if im free, aslong as you buy me lunch lol

I cant see a Mrs 'Ian_Fearn' joining the BX so the spirit of the car will have to live on in the BX club through me!

Tim, i've got a set of silver alloys on my 4x4 which we may put on the Auto and then i'll get my other set of silver rims re-con'd with Michelin Pilot Exalto's and put them on the 4x4.

Hmm, there`s a set of silver ones on the TZD Ian. If you`re up this way and fancy a swap then let me know!
Sorry about the state internally and externally of the GTi, I did want to clean it up first but I think you saw how busy I was!
