Didn't even know they sold base models over here! It's a very late registration for a suitcase engined car, so may have hung around a while before being sold and registered.

Damn, why did I promise I'd not think about buying another car till we move? Very much like the idea of the base model one!

I don't think so Mat :wink: Now the seller added further photos, also for the base model they've added roughly a NOUGHT to the price now :shock:

As Tim has stated NO rear wiper, for the very basic/base model !

3 grand!? For that 14!? :shock: . . .

It's a rare and very interesting car if you're a BX enthusiast - to the rest of the world it's probably scrap. It can't be worth more than 500 quid and that's being very generous I think.

Errr - Has no one told him that as a rare base model 14 that's been off the road for the years, it's the one out of the pair that may have sold at £295?

This would be a good indicator of it's value as it's possibly the oldest 14 Leader out there:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200835731759? ... 1423.l2661" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Never ceases to amaze me how many people think rare = valuable :roll: Doesn't seem to occur to them that (with massed produced stuff at least) the reason it's rare is that it's an undesirable model. Personally I like undesirable models, but that's partly because they're cheap!

I have told him that there arent many left but also that they are worth naff all sadly. I think its worth £100-150 tops (scrap value ey Mulley!). any more than that and he will end up keeping them for.

The building is being cleared so he needs to shift it.

I love that he's added an 0 to the ebay listing. Gloriously optimistic.
