Absolute muppet tbh, i think as soon as the word rare was mentioned, an extra digit appeared, they'll be getting crushed unfortunately as now he thinks they are worth 10x what they are worth he'll pyschologically struggle to sell them for a lot less. A shame, but perhaps in future (and i'm in no way blaming anyone on here), don't mention that they are rare etc...they should be treated as scrap value cars, look at the state of them, they are most likely complete rust buckets underneath & everything will be seized solid after not having been moved for such a long time.

Especially as these would have only had the cadmium plated Hydraulic pipes which are more than likely past there sell by date, rather the longer lasting Black coated type (Unless the cars have been re-piped, but I very much doubt it) !

TBH, I think an offer of £300 is a very good offer for that heap, he should have snapped your hand off, but it would appear that fruit machine pound signs have appeared in his mind, so it'll be declined for sure. This is perhaps a lesson for anyone contacting anyone about scrap cars, don't mention certain things & they might be saved, otherwise this is what happens. All a bit daft tbh, but i suppose it makes for interesting reading except for the enthusiasts who actually want to buy the wreck
