Well, after what seems like all my adult life, the old girl has gone and i'm pretty cut up about it.

Its gone to be used in the film industry and i've been assured it wont be cut up. It will however be repainted. Bottom line is that there's no way i'd have got anything like the price I did through a private sale.

My last sight of it until I see it on TV!







Its quite likely to be for sale after filming is finished so dont be surprised to see it back on ebay!

I think it would be very cool to have this BX as a major character in a high profile series. Looking forward to that. Will probably be a one off drama though but here's hoping.

Was there a particular reason why they needed to repaint such a nice car rather than more cheaply sourcing one? [Mine needs a respray!] And were Mk 2 BXs ever available in gold?
