still not as rare as a central armreat , a rear window louvre or boot cavity covers though Paul :D
Now you're talking stoopid Mickey. You're never going to find a central arm rest or boot cavity cover. Just stop dreaming and stick with the roulette wheel conversion - much more chance! :D

Righto, I knew about the full plan for the car. So this is the full story.

1. The car that initially arrives and locks its wheels is my old BX.

This is the ONLY TIME you see MY BX.

When it pans to the drivers door this ISN'T mine. Mine didn't have the little noggin things around the window seal as I took them off when it had wind deflectors.

The chap that bought it off me informed me that mine was the only one of three that WOULDN'T be cut up.

The only mods made to my TZD were gold paint, strobe lights and alloy wheels. To my knowledge the car would be sold on at the end as a fully working BX.

The white TXD that sold a couple of weeks before mine for £2500 was the one turned into the roulette wheel. They'd already done this when they collected mine.

Feel free to ask any more probing questions!

I hate to say I told you so... and not even with as much dignity either.

I do hope it was two separate cars, though. [-o<

EDIT /\ Phew! Still two BXs have been carved up for a sub-moronic ad. Not good!

You mean you're not about to go and squander your life savings at 'Bet Victor' (.com)? :D

It's nice that Ian's car has survived though, even if it is now a bit . . . er . . . gold! 8)

£2500 for a car to cut up

They could have done that just as well with a tired old nail picked up for a couple of hundred - so long as the panelwork was reasonably straight the rest didn't really matter as they'd be cutting it up and painting it anyway.

They were their cars to do what they want with, and I've got no problem with cars being modified (done a few myself over the years), but what a waste of money, and of a perfectly useable car, regardless of what we think of them!

Despite everything I still dont regret the decision. It could just have easily been bought by somebody wanting a cheap hack and killed it in a year. I wanted it to go out doing something a bit different.

I really must do a inventory of my spares and get them sold. Anybody want a fairly big job lot of bx parts?

Again, no I'm afraid. Its all petrol and diesel mk2 hatch stuff. Everything from hydrualic pumps to a nearly new front subframe to switches, electric windows, sunroof, wiper motors, front struts etc etc. Got a genuine towbar and a brand new genuine windscreen with seal.

I really want it gone as a job lot as we're moving house.

Thanks for setting the record straight Ian, lets hope we see the car again sometime. Did anyone spot the red trolley jack under the roulette wheeled car?

If it ends up being split, and I could work out how to get it here, I could be interested in the windscreen & seal - Timex's has a couple of chips in, and needs to come out this summer so that I can repair the pillars. - Damn - Hilary beat me to it
