A 17 year olds dream. (Citroen BX 1.9D Saloon 1992)

Thought I'd create a little somthing for my BX as im new to the fourm and recently purchased the car. I was just wondering is there any modifications or upgrades anyone would suggest for my BX ? i know its a pretty well equiped car already but is there anything anybody wants to say so i get the best out of my BX Thanks.

Depends on what you want to modify! Lots of add ons are available, most are quite tasteless and pointless. Dont bother trying to make it faster with induction kits and big exhausts etc as it wont work.

You could fit alloys and of course a huge pumping stereo as is the norm...and the obligatary raft of stickers to the bumpers etc...

Im putting an exhaust on it but for looks mainly as the exauhst end ive got at the moment which is the origional looks like it needs viagra looks sad and changing the casset player for a CD with iPod connection and im running on the standard steel wheels refurbished and sprayed white got an uprater interior in it too, i was kinda more looking for modifications and upgrades mechanically, like is there common things that break, and is there anyway i can upgrade somthing to stop it from braking ?

Well, you could fit a water and oil temperature gauge.

i would just drive her for a while and get used to her before you try and change anything as you dont know bugger all about how she normally drives. Then make an opinion.
I have 3 MK1s, and they aint the same as MK2s but when you drive them hard[diesels] you will know what i mean.
You have an unique car now bud, certainly not a pug, and you i hope will become a proud owner as most of us BXC members are. Just drive it and and enjoy as i do.

To be honest i have no idea what the interior it i payed £50 quid for it when i bought the car and fitted it because the old interior was like thick grey tweed il put a picture up and cheers Andy, im already a proud owner love her to bits very pleased with her, only had it a few weeks

Mind you, love em all and they are great drives, all different, yet to be tempted with a valver!!

And hmmmm yes a 16v would have suited me just fine as a teenager not racing the streets at night but in our days its all down to fuel and insurence :/

If you're a fan of that 'Max Power' look where the rear wheels are tilted at 45 degrees to the car, the BX is perfect; just wait for the rear arm bearings to wear out and the car will modify itself!

The grey tweed interior in good condition is rare now....maybe someone will want to buy it ! Ive fitted a "Zenith" interior the same in my 16TRS as its far more supportive.

A set of Silver Speedlines would set her off nicely.

The Tweed intrior has gone sorry i said to my dad put it on here and someone will be intrested but nope down the tip it went :/ no space to keep it was the problem.
