Hnnng! I'd quite like a 1.9 injection auto, but sadly I'm already one vehicle over my limit...

Re: BX won't start, must move.... or else
Good to meet you last night Rob and I hope everything goes really well with the 16 valve. It's crying out to have some miles put on it. The clutch slipped when I tried to get it up the ramp on to the previous trailer before it got locked up in the warehouse.
Actually you achieved more than you thought with the 8v and sorry to steal your glory due to time and light, but you gave me enough clues to get it started this evening, so thank you very much. Today started badly with a quote of £70-£100 to move a non-starting BX three miles and position it where needed in a new warehouse. So I thought it was worth giving it another few litres (petrol not Easy start) and turned it over until I thought there must be more than ether in it, left the wires to cool off for a minute, gave it another blast of easy start and it started, and stayed started. Now I have 2-3 weeks to sell it. Hopefully I will be able to get a hoover and some water on it for the first time in over a year and get some new pics.

Fantastic news, so glad to hear it. I'd love to see that 8v get saved - hopefully a prospective new owner will do the right thing/see sense!
So it must have just been an air bubble in the fuel line after all

Excellent news that the 16V has been rescued
I hope that it is not too bad underneath and inside the inner wings.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction to get this started Rob, I couldn't have chanced £100 on the transporter just to move it just for 3 weeks. (There's a possibility this warehouse will close in less than a month). Anyway, for now, new warehouse, with owners and staff who appreciate cars, and electricity, and water from the well. (I hadn't remembered how wet you can get using buckets
No T-cut, that was just with cold water for the loss of a few J cloths and a plastic brush that got itself run over by an artic. Seems they don't test anything properly these days. And the driver didn't stop either

After last weeks debacle im not commenting on a car I havent seen.......it still LOOKS very smart. However it looks like the ns bonnet hinge has begune to seize as its not sitting straight..but thats not an issue
If I didnt have the TZI I would seriously consider buying it back as it was a nice car.

It does look ace, but probably best that values aren't mentioned as it does seem to raise temperatures on the forum.
Good spot about the hinge, was this one of your old cars Tim?

Yes it was, bought from Cavmad in 06 when I was getting through a BX every few months, sold it to buy another one (cant remember which) before I knew what a good BX was like and should have kept it.
Wasnt perfect but was very much above average and went very well from memory, again I havent seen it for 6 years so cant pass comment on its current state and its done about 15000-20000 miles since.

Re: BX won't start, must move.... or else
Next instalment of the 16v story
It has gone for an MOT and failed it spectacularly. I don't yet have details, as it went to a garage local to my parents, but it ran to two pages of fails. Oh dear
However apparently it's basically structurally sound, which is good. More details when I have them.
However I'm guessing that pipes probably feature heavily on the fail sheet and I'm thinking that it is time I took the plunge and got a pipe flaring tool, and then I can replace anything necessary in cupronickel. I have a few questions about this -
Are the ones on ebay that cost 150 pounds any good? According to the listing they will do 3.5 or 4.5mm pipes.
Where can I get the pipe and ends from? Are the ends special ones?
Finally if anyone's got one they can lend me, or would be up for me buying a share in it, let me know
