Citroen bx tzd spares or repairs
I am a Citroen bx enthusiast and have had over 8 bx’s since 1994 when I purchased this car it was in pristine condition however 2 weeks after I purchased it an idiot crashed in the front drivers side corner it spent 6 months off the road whilst the insurance paid up. After the settlement my friend did the repairs for me new wing head light indicator and bumper. The front panel was pulled out straight. And the area was repainted silver along with the front wing. The bonnet was cracked around the drivers side head lamp but although I purchased another one I never got around to getting it sprayed this is included with the car. The front bumper was never sprayed either. Whilst driving home from work in December the car overheated and I believe caused the head gasket to go. A pipe before the thermostat split causing the engine to lose water. I had no idea anything was wrong until the car stopped. The engine is not seized and turns over freely but does not start.
Other faults with the car
Heater control knob has broken off the cable between the control panel and the heat shut off valve is stiff for some reason. Includes are a knob and control panel to be replaced. Rear suspension bearing has started to go. Included is an arm which I rebuilt with new bearings. Front drivers side seat has a split in it included are two complete interiors Citroen bx hurricane and Citroen bx gti 16 valve.
Included with this sale are enough spare parts to fill a sprinter van you are welcome to take it all excluding the van
The sunroof does work but occasional the over ride pin jumps out so you have to push it back in with your finger. The drainage channels from the sunroof are blocked this need to be looked at probably a bit of welding rod pushed up the pipe.
Rear bumper is original but needs respray passenger rear wing has some scratches on it passenger front wing has flaking paint on the top of it see pic’s.
It has air con but it is not working. Included in the sale is a nearly new heat exchanger also a pump and other air con parts which were taken from a previous car I owned which had a working air conditioning system. The car will need a good clean inside before use.
There is no tax or mot the car is sorn off the road at present. Note it will need to be tailored away. I have no way of delivering this car to you.
Before the car overheated engine was fine pulled very well all suspension was working fine.
With the birth of my daughter I just don’t have the time anymore to fix cars but I am sure it would not take much to get this car back on the road.
