at least the parts will help make other bx's stronger. (I have a couple Opel kadetts, and 1 of them there are only 3 left. so my views of rarity are somewhat warped.)
My other kadett, there are about 10 left, and thats going to have most of the floor and bulkhead "adjusted" to fit a volvo engine.

Any chance of some pictures of the rust ? What are the inner wings, washer bottles and rear door shuts like ? If you can get it running she might pump up...

I reckon £400-£600, if you can show the shell isn't fecked in the usual places. The A-pillar looks bad, though it's not as hard to sort out as the rear subframe mounts, for example.

Fact is in spares, they're not worth very much, so you wouldn't lose out by selling it complete with a decent clean and having it running.

The days of Mi16 engines fetching strong money seems to have passed, with the pug boys moving on to the 2.0Turbo, S16 and even V6 units plus I think nearly every 205GTI has a 16v in it now! So I second what is said you may get more for it as a complete car/resto.

Places to check for rust:

In the boot, especially in the shelf area on the inner side wall (driver's side).
Rear subframe front mounts - lift up back seat, remove plastic trim either side, peel back parcel tape, peer into oval holes looking at the two bolts/nuts. If it's really crusty in there, you have a bad day. This continues underneath into the rear jacking points and along the sills.
Pull the washer bottles out of the front scuttle tray and check underneath. Crud builds up and rot begins. If it's really bad you'll be able to see the wheel and the dashboard at the same time.
Inner wings under the bottle, both sides.
A-Pillars - if there's no bubbling either side or along the bottom edge of the windscreen, that's a good sign. The lower A-pilalrs may still need work, but it won't be horrific. If it's rusted either side of the screen then it will also be shot down below, and it could well be horrific!

If you have a car that's gone in all those places, it's either the grey ph2 16v I have here, or close to it. Dead, in other words. But If the subframe mounts are ok, and the A-pillars are managable, the shell might well live to fight another day.

So is the car still down in Tiverton ? How did you pump up the front if it's not been run ? I have to admit I could be interested if it's only really the A pillar that needs work but let us know if you get it up and running :)

And I do like the 02 '99 tax disk in a the footwell

Firstly, a 99 tax disc don't mean sh*t round the country lanes. ;) yes the car is very near tiverton.
They towed it in gear a few days before i got it. so when i got there the front was up, but the back was down. no bother as we lifter it up on the tow hitch.

Without trying to sound like a noob, how do i get the back seats up? i tried giving it a pull, but had no luck.
I've put a new brush set in my starter now, so hopefully will be running soon.

With the rear seats, I lift the tab on the top at shoulder height, this releases the backs then the bases have a strap on the front of them. Just tugging the strap upwards should lift up the front edge of the seat and then they tip forward towards the front seats.

Did the car come with anything by the way ? any paperwork, keys, parts at all ?

Yes it had keys, no it doesn't have a v5.
and the strap for the bottom seats, thats where the middle persons feet would be yeah?
