I was just about to post the E-bay listing for J953 LLN (But you beat me to it) !
As to the price I had the same price in mind but indeed if its a fairly rust free example it could be even slightly more (Remember what Ian Fearn's TZD Turbo Sold for and the Light Blue TXD Turbo which Messrs Ruggs Sold approx. 4 years ago) it may be in that league ?

Anyhow Tim this one really deserves a better posting (With the photo's)

E-bay Seller wrote:Here I am selling a recently recognized classic car

A 1991 Citroen BX TZD Turbo

Car comes with 12 months M.O.T., no tax, but can be taxed for you at extra cost

Very clean car, inside and out not that far off immaculate,

but there are a couple of small marks,

you wouldn't notice them unless you knew they were there

Only covered 61,000 miles, 20,500 of which since 2006

Seems to have been well maintained by the way it drives and looks

Has had 2 previous owners, the last elderly couple since 2002 until very recently

Car has to be seen and driven to be appreciated

This is one of the quietest examples of these cars I have come across for a very long time

Everything seems to work well, even the hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension

Everything on this car seems to be original, even down to the wheels and trims

The bad points

Unfortunately there is no service history or receipts to verify it's mileage,

but I have printed off and supplied it's M.O.T. history as from 2006

Roof aerial missing (will try to obtain one before car is sold)

Now for the usual bit: Cash on collection only,

no bidders with less than 10 positive feedback unless permission is asked before hand

and definitely no international bidders

Please call 07766477641 for further details or to arrange a viewing
Good luck to who ever secures this 'Black Beauty' 8)

Yeah. Good luck to anyone who secures a car which has no sales history to verify its mileage and no MOT.

I assume it is a small time dealer who has taken this in part ex by the way in which it is worded and also says "has to be seen and driven to be appreciated". Well a test drive would be illegal without MOT and surely that could [the drive] reveal a lot of potential issues? Could it not?

"The car comes with 12 months MOT", but like you said the mileage needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

My brain hurts!

Not sure why I got confused. I clicked sometime after. Still! No road tax - no test drive!

You would need to make your own mind up about the miles, but a tidy TZD turbo with 160k miles these days is worth close to a £1000, the car looks in great shape and the fact its still wearing its original trims is a positive.

I wish I could buy it.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Yes Tim but surely you would go and view the thing first?

It does look a really nice bit of kit but I would never buy a car off Ebay without the benefit of viewing and a test drive.

In fact, I lie. I did once buy a BX TXD Estate in Midnight Blue on Ebay without viewing.

Without 10 miles the LHM had all leaked out and I just managed to roll into a Total Garage on the A46/A17 junction at Newark without totally losing control.

It cost me £20-30 in LHM just to get to my mate's garage if I remember correctly.
