Re: BX Buyers Guide
As I subscribe I get it a day or so early, make sure you get Aprils Edition, you can see the GT on the top right corner of the front page, I wrote a considerable amount of the buyers guide (and he copied it), but some of the inaccuracies (the performance figures for a start) aren't my doing!.

Re: BX Buyers Guide
Do they advertise cars still? Lots of really good bargains? The sort that sold a month before the cover matches the month? Might explain a thing or two. I will look forward to next Thursdays breakfast egg stain already being in my next copy. And we have not got to the 13th edition in the year yet..,..Publishers and the planet Zarcon!

Re: BX Buyers Guide
Picked it up this morning. Good work Tim, that's probably the first article produced on the BX in its own right that refers to it for what it is today, rather than what it was 20 years ago.
Let's hope more follow it - I don't mind if the values soar!
Only thing I spotted (though I've only glanced at it, not read it) - who's rear boot corner is that of on the areas to look out for? That welding! is that someone on here?! Hang your heads in shame!
Look's like a pigeon's flicked its own shit at it!

Always moaning at other peoples work, never satisfied!! Do have some charity, at some time. At least the motor is saved!!

If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing right. For the record, I pick at my own work more than anyone's, not that I need to justify my comments to you.Mothman's attempt at quoting me wrote:Always moaning at other peoples work, never satisfied!! In the context of my post (which sang the praises of the article), it was clearly a tongue in cheek comment. No need to get jumpy.

Its ugly but rock solid and of course invisible when the trim is back in place which it now is.

Re: BX Buyers Guide
My thoughts too Tim, rock solid work that cant be seen. I suspect the previous owner did it or had it done by someone who wasnt really a welder but someone who could fix it and be happy to get it through an MOT. We arent all perfectionists nor as well trained but there is always someone ready to criticize. I think the article is bloomin great and dosnt need to be dropped on, even in jest. Certainly going to boost both values and demand for the BX. Done a great job bud, you should be well proud of the motor.

, and was like that when I got it, its where the exhaust hanger had pulled away and is the only bit of the car that has been tickled with a welder.

If you're ever driving past, stop by and I'll dress it up for you. If it's got holes all over the place it'll be more sensitive to rot again, and you don't want that.
