Hello all,
Thought I would introduce myself rather than just lurking...
I’m Ross and I am hoping to buy my very first BX.
Been in to all sorts since I started driving, mostly air cooled VW’s but also RWD Volvo’s. And now I fancy a BX, my mum had a gold C reg 19RD for a big chunk of my childhood and to this day its still her favourite car ever.
I am only in the early stages of begining to look, I know rust is the biggest concern these days but any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Ross

try ebay and car and classic, be prepared to be flexible on spec and colour and go for condition more than a particular model.

I would avoid diesels without power steering if you can as they can be hard work and rather pedestrian!

I will be selling my Hurricane TD very soon for less than that GTi and I am sure that it is in better condition. Its near to Didcot if you want to come and have a look. I can send you the planned advertising blurb if you are interested.

Still, I have only just started searching and I have a good budget.
Really I would prefer a non GTI model anyway.
