It depends on how much money you want to throw at it and your technical ability, anything is possible. You need to consider the drive train, subframe, changing the hydraulic system to name but a few and the extra weight of a c5 lump.
An Eastern European guy fitted a 3.0 v6 Xantia engine into a bx but not without a lot of adjustments.

C5 is a problem because of CAN-bus electrics. You really have to know what to do if you think of it..

So, If I want to swap to a c5 engine I need to change the hydraulic system? What about an other engine (for example xsara mk2 engine)?

Also if I decide to put a c5 engine I will connect to ecu only the wires for the engine without having other problem?

No and no. Search for a donor car without CAN and antitheft, otherwise it will be two years of studying. Hydraulics is no problem, physically the engine will fit but nothing will work. Have a google on CAN and antitheft. Even if you can find a description of C5 electrics will help you make the decision to not do it..

Why do you want to change the engine? Any donor BX would be an easy place to start with.

Generally speaking, any PSA engine (up to 2.1 litres) from the 1990s should fit, See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PSA_engines for a shopping list... You are probably more interested in something from the XU or XUD (or perhaps EW/DW) ranges.

The higher power engines (2.0 TCT, 2.1 TD and 2.0 HDI 110) use the larger ML5 gearbox which may be difficult to fit in a BX.

Because it has more than 350.000 km and I said that if I change it why not to put a newer one.
But if I decide not to do it I will make a full repair/ restoration

The 1.4 engine is shared with lots of other Peugeot Citroen cars so maybe look for a lower mileage one of those? Or maybe a 1.6 Version of it

Ooh, interesting project! I liked my 14 TU and can imagine a bigger TU variant could only be more fun.
