Black BX spotted 22/10/20 in Sittingbourne - anyone on here?

Post by deltic »

Not spotted by me but by the dishwasher repair man last Thursday, anyone on here? Given that I was also out on Thursday in my BX it must be unusual these days for 2 different BXs out of c.250 on the road to be around in Sittingbourne.

Having seen my BX his first words when I opened the door to him were "It's a GTi!". Given the ensuing long chat about classic cars, he must have been pretty late to his next job...

Interesting how people belatedly regard our BXs with nostalgic affection.
My only (slightly) relevant comment is that my dishwasher is even older than my GTi and it has not seen a repair man for about 20 years.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

He had previously bought a cheap Xantia diesel to specifically do a family holiday the south of France and was very impressed by that. He'd just done up an Audi 80 V6 which to be honest looked horrible as it was burgundy yet perversely was rather tempting...

Our 9 year old dishwasher inherited when we moved house and little use had blown its control panel, so is beyond economical repair. Sometimes old stuff does work better or last longer as in the case of your dishwasher.
