That's the tape that's jammed in the old player. I might need to resort to violence

Re: DKK
Started him up again this morning and all was fine, except the exhaust sounded a bit fruity
Can't see anything wrong here
That'll be it then
The exhaust has left the building
I guess the big backfire did a number on my perfectly good back box

If it did that, you could say you were lucky that's all it did.
Prefer it to the Lamborghini, like Signor Gandini!

Re: DKK
New back box fitted and normality returns.
Here's a conundrum The drivers footwell got wet a while ago so the soggy mess of old soundproofing was pulled out, the carpet dried, new insulation fitted and everything put back together. Since then he's been under a waterproof cover which keeps the outside bone dry but.........the footwell was soaked again. It's not coolant as the system is filled with Evans waterless, it's not washer fluid as I've has the bottle out and checked underneath it looked fine but put extra sealer on the seams just in case. So where is the water coming from? My investigations continue.

Re: DKK
Problems problems problems.
Same issue as I had before I fitted a new drive shaft to the nearside. Juddering on take off that feels like going over anti skid surface that can be felt through the steering wheel but eases off at speed. Before I spend any more on a new offside drive shaft (the long one) how much play should there be in the joints? There is very little twisting play but the outer shaft can be moved easily, by hand, lengthwise between the joint by about half and inch, the new shaft has zero play as far as I can tell.
Shall I go for another drive shaft or look elsewhere for a fault?

Re: DKK
Help please. Is there a resource where I can trace the original part No for the offside drive shaft. I've done a Google search which came up with these alternatives but I'd like to find out for sure before ordering as there are various versions out there with different spline counts.
Thanks
John
From a Google search I find the following
95606797
95619480
96009410
32736G

Re: DKK
I don't know but https://www.driveshaftuk.com/ sorted me out for my C6.
Original parts numbers can be looked up on Frenchcarforum.co.uk, paying the £10 minimum donation https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/view ... 54#p638654 It is unfortunately nigh-on impossible to search on there because it ignores two-character parts of the search, like "BX"!
Do these help from here http://www.ckc.dk/cgi/catlist?:
http://www.ckc.dk/cgi/vcat??MIC01230A
http://www.ckc.dk/pubs/BX-82.pdf
http://www.ckc.dk/pubs/MAN058881.pdf (section 5 is driveshafts)
http://www.ckc.dk/pubs/MAN058882.pdf (part 2 of above just for completeness)
I note some dire warning about pulling driveshafts out on pre-1987 cars in that you have to support the internal planet gears.

Re: DKK
Many thanks for that.
I read in the manual that you need to fit a tube of the correct diameter if both drive shafts are removed, I've alredy done the near side so hopefully all will be well.

I've registered and contributed but can't find the link to the parts list so I've left a query in the hope someone will give me directions.
Once again many thanks for your help

Re: DKK
Ah no, there is no parts list to access. You tell the guys what you want and they access the Citroen parts site and get back to you with screenshots, etc. This used to be free but Stelantis put a stop to that.panky wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 1:02 pm I've registered and contributed but can't find the link to the parts list so I've left a query in the hope someone will give me directions.

In fact, I think this site and FCF are hosted by the same people.

You need to post in this part of the forum https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/view ... hp?t=69962
Or, from the front page click "Citroen", then in the top "Announcements" posts you will see the thread entitled "Citroen, DS Automobiles and Peugeot Official Part Number Requests"
