I don't suppose anyone is cutting up a BX?
The BX TD I recently purchased has a few holes in the N/S sill area and I want to weld in some patches. Now instead of making up plates to fit perhaps someone could cut out the pieces I need.
I'll pay £5 + p+p.
Any takers?
If anyone can help I'll post some pictures/size'es etc of the bits I want

My opinion after seeing the original car was that it needed radical body surgery (something along the lines of a new shell!). Not only are the sills and some C-pillar sections rusted through, but one of the B-pillars is holed too. Also, working on the basis that you remove at least twice as much rust as you can see, there won't be much of the car left. Apologies for my bluntness, but that was the way I saw it.
I would have said something different until I observed John in action with the tinsnips etc. while preparing my car for welding. A quite frightening amount of metal under what seemed to be good paint had to be removed.
For reference, the pics I took are on photobucket somewhere with a title something like "Hurrricane"- I'll try and find a link for you.

Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

Good luck then, Bernie!
I know the mechanicals and hydraulics seemed in good order (apart from the whining wheel bearing), but I'm now deeply paraniod about any BX rust within spitting distance of the rear arches and the box sections near the rear subframe mounting points. On the one hand I did see the BX estate rear wing on ebay at the moment, which gives a better idea of what is/isn't structural, but on the other hand the big hole is certainly wellwithin 30cm of the front rear subframe mounts.....(if I understand my MOT criteria correctly).
If it's any help, I have located the original pics I took when I saw the car. Shall I pass them on to Jon?
