Immaculate looking car with ultra low mileage.

However, no mot or tax & has advertised it as a 16RS, the badge says 16TGS, hopeless....

And then there is the price, with an mot that is pushing the boundaries, without, well!!!!

Blimey, that does look good - that rear bumper looks like a new pin! No pictures of the interior or the engine but if everything is as he claims (??) I think that would be quite a reasonable price for what is seemingly almost a new BX ( but,as you say Mulley - no MOT?). In France that would be listed on Ebay with a starting price of €2000.
It's funny how all these Grandad BXs keep turning up from their garages where they've been hidden ( though that's also a good sales story!) :D

I have to agree with tod on this one if it is indeed as good as it looks it is in imaculate condition for it's age.
And i can see no reason why it should not fly through an mot without any problems.

It reminds me of when i went to buy my TZD from a chap in Horsham West Sussex.
My father inlaw took me up to get it and before we went to the flat that the chap lived in we had a quick look around the car park.
There sure enough was a white TZD not bad but very dirty and looking very unloved and a bit sad.
I said to my father inlaw that doesn't look too promissing
Green moss in the gotters and along the weather strips on the windows.

We went to the flat and the chap answered the door and said are you here for the citroen. I said yes.

He then took us down to the car park and walked strait past the one we had been looking at and into a garage compound.

When he opened up the garage there was the cleanest BX i had ever seen.
It was absloutely imaculate. started first time and rose up level and true.
When he drove it out of the garage and into the daylight well it was amasing.
I bought it there and then for £900 with 8 months tax and 8 months mot
and that was nine years ago and 175000 miles ago too

On the way home in the car it felt a little sluggish so i put my foot down and the turbo came in and my father inlaw's car dissappeared in a cloud of black soot and the BX just shot off.
i think the previous owner had pottered around in it without using to much of the turbo.

so yes they were and are still about if you can find them

Regards Kermit :) :)

I agree there are still a few good one's about. Trouble with the BX is that bodywork wise, they can look immaculate like this one, however there could be a multitude of issues hidden from view...

The only true way is to inspect the car, which can be done this Sunday up in Wetherby :D

Well, someone else agrees as it's got one bid. Yes, it would be nice to have a solid BX, not just a looker.
Now begins - and possibly never ends! - the rust management on my yella fella. Underneath is another, more primeval place .. :-s

It does seem pretty genuine- all the more surprising as most micro-mileage cars tend to be 16/19 TRS/TZS autos.

Around the time that the GS/GD models replaced the RS/RD, even the DVLA seemed to get confused about what model a car was: I'm sure that I've seen V52 documents in the past for a GS/GD car saying it was an RS/RD.

The confusion also extends to trim: some of the first /GS/GD/ZS/ZD models had the R/TR-type of seat material and trim (e.g. I've worked on at least TGDs which had fine herringbone R-level spec seat material where you'd normally expect to have the coarser tweed material).

Ditto the BE1/BE3 gearbox.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
