Thanks for that, so it looks like it's the square one in the TZS.
Mark (mnde) recently had starting problems with his Meteor which he traced to a faulty square coil. Cacaolat also has ongoing starting problems with his Meteor which might well turn out to be his coil. The 19TRS and 19GT both have the round coil mounted on the bulkhead. I am beginning to suspect that the square coil might be a bit troublesome compared to the round ones. At any rate I've had my 19TRS since '92 and the coil is still fine. My other more recent 19TRS auto looks as if it's still on its original (round) coil.

If it helps, the diagnosis on my car's coil was slow as the coil was putting out a spark, but either the quality of spark was degrading once the coil was fitted back, or the spark wasn't quite good enough. At any rate, new coil & she started up straight away again.
Now, who wants the car???
I'm open to offers...
