BX TZD Turbo for sale ONLY £200!!!

Post by Turbo-James »

Still available

I am not a regular forum member but I thought I would offer BX enthusiasts a chance to own a good example a rare car before it goes on Ebay.

Up for sale is my much loved 1992 BX TZD in faded red. I originally bought the car to tour europe with but my financial situation has changed so I am going back to a 306 td. The car is in good condition for age and drives superb having covered only 129000 miles.

The engine runs very well with no smoke or strange noises and does not lose any oil or coolant, starts first time every time. Recently had a service changing the oil, air filter and fuel filter. Suspension works perfectly with no odd noises or knocking, however the front is a little hard so might need orbs replacing.

The bodywork is good for age with only a few small cracks to the plastic bumpers, the paint is quite faded but would probably come up very well with a good polish.

Interior is in exellent condition but could do with a good hoovering. All electrics working apart from rev counter. has electric windows front and back, electric sunroof, Headphone jacks for the rear.

Bad points

Abs light is on alougth the brakes seem to work perfectly (french electrics)

Rev counter does not work

remote central locking not working, works fine with the key though.

Front suspension is a little bouncy so needs front spheres replacing.

Battery is not charging correctly, this could be at worst the alternator or maybe as simple as a bad earth.

Please PM me for more details.

the car is based in Leicestershire, viewing and inspections are welcome.

£225

forgot to mention MOT till July 2011
No tax

Yes - I've had no reply so I guess this is a hoax (the gentleman was online last night whilst I was pm'ing him and didn't reply).

Oh well

If this is going to be an ongoing situation maybe a word with the perpetrators ISP would help?

Edit I thought you were inferring that Newton Harcourt didn't exist Tim. My mistake! Hold the writs!

It's a strange hoax - who'd go to all the bother of researching what features a particular BX has (rear headphone sockets FFS...)?

"geek"s email from the other day I can believe - it's generic enough to post on any car forum, but this? Way too specialised IMHO.

I'm with Ray at the moment, the 'online' status refers to the user being active over the last 5 minutes so in theory someone could show as online but have logged off almost 5 minutes previously. Give him a chance and don't be so cynical!

Hi James,

No worries, we've had some hoaxes in the past, and I guess in these days cynicism is the default setting with many!

Look forward to the pics...
