NOT BX related, long shot, looking for Saab 900 part

Apologies for hijacking the BX forum, but alongside various citroens over the years, our faithful 1988 Saab 900 has ferried us around no problems for a long time. And i know at least one member is also a saab nut.

It's and 8v intercooler turbo auto 5dr, 105k miles with tan leather, quite rare i believe, and a lovely car, anyway we just had all the bodywork restored for the NCT in Ireland and the car got stolen from outside our house! thought it was safe.. anyway it was recovered and all being well we can repair the fairly minor damage and get it back on the road with some improved security.

So a bit of bodywork damage, which is sortable, but having trouble finding a driver's door barrel and key. Tried neobrothers in uk, some people here that break them, and ebay with no luck. Would anyone be able to help?

unfortunately our local saab dealership has closed along with its spare dept ,
theres this place advertised near me I could make some enquiries for you or might be better if you ring them yourself as you know what you need

Don't have any direct experience of them, but a lot of owners of older Saabs I know use 2 Stroke to Turbo - I believe they may break cars aswell.

Firstly, I am so really sorry that someone " dared " to take your SAAB Max however I am very very glad you have got her back again Max
I know where you are coming from, to Max, regarding security, this is why mine has an old circa 1988 " immobiliser 2 " very simple and effective, but alas these days they are a little difficult to source I am still looking around to get another " immobiliser 2 " for the BX Max.
Secondly, Max I personally don,t have a spare door lock, unfortunately, But I am sure together we should be able to source one somewhere Max. I personally don,t get a very good service from many garages, with being a ex-mechanic who does all his own work and who only does 100 miles a year in any of my cars.
Thirdly Max, I will dig out some phone numbers, where I have been to in the last 13 years, hopefully we should come up trumps Max I am also a " member " of UKSAAB,s and I will go and have a nosey on the forum, I haven,t seen any locks for sale, but there are quite a few SAAB specialist on there, I will go and get some addreses and phone numbers for you ok Max
If we can,t locate one pretty quick, I could place an ad on there for one, I am sure someone will get back to me on that one, If you would want me to Max, it would be a pleasure
