BX 14RE from 1991 ??

Hi,

I saw a picture of a British BX on the net, it's a 14RE from 1991. Numberplate H919MGM.

Was the 14RE still for sale in The UK in 1991 ??? I thought it was already replaced by the 14TE and 14TGE in 1989/1990.

It will be a TGE but dvla registered then as re for a while after the change.

Yeah, sadly there doesn't seem to be a high-res image. Seems to have tinted glass - did TEs have that? Trims are also TG but I don't know if they were also fitted to TEs.

And silver bumper strips.....must be a 14TGE.....but, we'll never know for sure

Not sure if this applies to this case, but a fair few TGE's were recorded on V5's etc as RE's - mine certainly was and other I know of were also. Just another DVLA foible, politely speaking.

If it was a TE it would have body coloured sills and window surrounds. It's a TGE with peeling bumper inserts.

i know of this car, i have enquired on many occasions over the past few years at this house in leicestershire, it is indeed a 14TGE and has been stood at least 12 years, the car is covered in a thick layer of sticky moss tree sap type stuff but the original paint is not too bad all the tyres are flat, the car was very damp and mouldy inside when i saw it last winter but all locked up, the car belongs to the father of the lady who lives at the house, i have offered £'s and contact details on at least 6 occasions over the last 3 years but had no replies, i believe the reg is H797MGM, and dvla have no trace. i would think if the car is moved the caravan will fall over.
