TZD turbo estate with full T&T (new lower price)
£995, in Reading
Icebreaker - yes that's alot, but in the two months and 318 miles I've owned it it's had a new tax disc, MOT, CV gaiters, front brake pads, welding, battery, stop solenoid, oil change and whatever's left from the full tank of diesel I put in when I bought it.
172000 miles
MOT 28/11/14
Tax 31/9/14
MOT advisories:
+ oil leak
+ front brake hoses beginning to perish
+ offside front tyre is wearing on inner edge
+ front to rear fuel pipes heavily corroded
+ some corrosion to underbody in places
This was a company car for most of its life, and has full service history up to 2002 or 145000 miles. All the receipts from this are present, as is the service book before it ran out of pages at 96K. All MOTs are present, the original sales document (£6000!), some print outs from the company car servicing computer, and a handwritten service diary. It has the owner's manual, service book, and a couple of Citroen maps in the little grey wallet. I bought the car from a student for just above scrap value, he said he bought it from a "Citroen enthusiast who did everything himself". Whatever.
Some idiot in December 2010 spent nearly £900 on the car (152K) fitting a new timing belt and water pump, fan belt, exhaust, "full service", front brake pads, HP pump belt and LHM flush amongst a a few other sundries.
In October I've spent £220 on a tax disc, £90 on a battery (was in a mood so bought an overpriced halfords one), £350 on garage services and a few other bits and bobs aforementioned. The price is obviously high for what it is, but at the end of the day I'm not desperate to get rid of the car, there are just others on the market that I'd rather own.
Tyres are generally quite good, Hankooks on the front and some daft budget make on the rear with plenty of tread. Spare is superb and doesn't look like it's ever been used.
Interior is pretty clean, parcel shelf present but not pictured (in the shed). Bodywork not great - crap colour, lacquer peeling on the front wings and roof. Dent in passenger side rear door.
Other faults:
+ Interior fan is on a pull switch
+ Rear demist not working
+ Engine oil leak
+ Instrument cluster backlighter bulbs not all working (predictably the inaccessible ones)
+ took the clock out as it didn't work
Other than that I can't really fault the car - engine, hydraulics are great. Three keys. OMG ORIGINAL NUMBERPLATES! from a Seat garage, sadly

Car also comes with a permit to park down Addington Road in Reading (not where I live), although I appreciate this only appeals to a very specific buyer.

theres a recreation ground ( they called them a park in my day ) behind the hedge ( clue is in the sign on the left )
I wondered when someone here would spot the Renault , give Todd some competition although this is not a seven seater

Beach hedge which is deciduous so you'll be able to see soon when the leaves have finished turning copper and drop off

Now on ebay.
Obviously the advert is highly "critical", but at the end of the day it's, er, honest. Without wanting to judge everybody on here (naturally, that would be mean), the past two adverts I bought from were works of fiction, when viewing the car comprised mainly "OOPS! I didn't mention that" and the dynamic of finding further unmentioned faults continued for the remainder of ownership. If you like surprises, don't bid. If you do, I'd advise looking elsewhere on here. Yes I now sound like a twat, but at the end of the day that's my experience of past sellers and I don't want to pass that on.

I agree totally!Yes I now sound like a twat, but at the end of the day that's my experience of past sellers and I don't want to pass that on.
I think that as far as cars go I've been extremely lucky so far with internet purchases, although buying so far down the market that instead of scraping the barrel I had to remove it, grab a spade, then dig for 10 minutes to reach the market I was buying in probably helps! I know of plenty of sellers that get annoyed with non paying, non reachable buyers, but there are also just as many sellers out there that are just as bad. From the sellers point of view, the removal of the ability to give a buyer negative feedback opened the floodgates for buyers who bugger about, while from the buyers point of view, Ebay's seemingly ever increasing focus on profit over service has allowed dodgy sellers to get away with far more than they used to.

As an old stager at selling cars, a good wash and polish and some cheap wheeltrims would help!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
