not bx but pug 406 probs
starts ok idles ok revs up ok settles down ok, try to drive it and at about 2k misses, lurches coughs and splutters once above 3k seems ok, car is a 96 p 1,8 petrol estate 120k was fine previously to this. my immediate thought crank sensor or coil pack? your thoughts. brother in laws car.

I had a 2L auto that suffered from coil failure with the same symptoms if it helps.
I have zero patience for your tedium.
