It is a bit optimistic on the price, but a lovely car though.

Low milers, bit of a prob as a Classic. If you use it its value evaporates. But what use is a car if you do not drive it? Not sure BX have reached that stage in Classic ownership. If that so where is the market for this car? Surely its worth more in France.

When I had a 23,000 mile 16TGS auto, because I only paid £450 for it, I wasn't too worried about depreciation. In fact it gained value at the point I sold it at about 30,000 miles. But this, at over three grand, will be worth less and less as it gets used (as Thread Bear rightly observes!) and I can see it being hovering around the £1250 mark after a year's everyday use. Is it a fair days and holidays garaged classic? Not yet I suspect...

But what IS it worth? I'd say, as it probably doesn't need an awful lot of work, knock a grand off and it'll seem OK. Losing a grand over let's say a couple of years by using it doesn't seem so harsh then.

Yep, if he'd put it up for two and a half I'd say he was in with a chance.

I like the price on this 26,000 mile BX. Mainly because I have a 17,000 mile BX in the garage, and have still to convince my missus it was a good idea to get it. Maybe this will!

Looks like it does not even have matching tail lights, one green tint, the other smoke/clear? Now the green tinters must be worth a few squid.....

And the seller is mistaken in saying it "comes with tax until 31/05/2015".... Not anymore!

Even low mileage motors can rot. All depends on how its been stored. Mollie, my BX being restored at Chevronics looked like crap with terrible paintwork but underneath was fantastic with hardly any rust showing anywhere on the body, pipes etc a tad crusty, you may all have seen the pictures. She must have been kept under cover all her life. Has this one? Mollie was a freebie but not a runner and will be an expensive but marvellous motor in the end.
I would really need to see this motor in the flesh before i bought it. And, there's bound to be things wrong with it. There always is.

The seller is not doing themselves any favours by saying the engine is 80bhp, 94bhp I think the later 16s. Pretty nippy with nothing but the driver in.

Actually the 80 figure is correct for th injection model! It (the 1.6) 'lost' 12 Hp or so when going injection......
