Saddo! (Sorry, couldn`t resist!).

That looks like a potentially cheap and nice car. Bit too far for me though, looking at about a 12-14 hour round journey to collect though I could pop to my parents on the way/way back I suppose.
Worth saving I`d have thought, surely one of our clan would take that on?
BTW, what are the sunroof deflectors worth second hand?

Show off!

I have to confess that I ask because I may have the chance of a cheap spares car BX which has one fitted and being the mercenary b*st*rd that I am I`m thinking it could be worth selling a few parts off it to compensate for the cost of the car.

Last sunroof deflector on ebay went for about £17 I think.

There's also one still lost in the "ether" of the postal service, as I sent one to Mr. Sleepy about 3 months ago, and there's still no sign of it anywhere!

As unbelievable as this may sound Tim, no I`m not  I`m currently hot on the heels of the 1.9TD plus a couple of local BX`s, both oddly enough less than about 3/4 mile from each other.

Looking at it again, I like the wheel trims... Any ideas where or what they are from? They might be alloys, I guess. Hard to tell.

Philip, they look remarkably like some very cheap ones I bought from a car accessory shop for about a tenner.
You know the type I mean? The sort that are so flimsy that an anorexic ant wearing slippers sneaking past them would cause them to crack.

I am losing it, obviously. Up close I bet they are cr*p now you mention it. Makes me wonder what are the best alloys ever fitted to a BX? (And, Billy, I think you might know as they seem to feature in the future life of the Black One! :D )

Assuming we`re talking genuine wheels I`d say the ones that were on it when it left your house (and are still on it!) though the silver ones look nice too.
As for aftermarket the ones on the blue GTi one of `our lot` owns look superb.

I think a red one would be best for you Tim. Something with a bit of MOT that drives very nicely and will be quite cheap. Something, for example, that will probably be round the back of my house later today
