Hi all, had some new front spheres last week the correct ones
fitted don't seem as good as old ones more firmer
feel more road bumps any thoughts on this.
Thanks.
Maybe your old ones was not the correct type. I think it´s common to put softer spheres from some other BX model on 16 Valve. Original 16 Valve is relatively firm compared with other BX
Is there any number marked och the spheres? If so it will be possible to identify them. There are three parameters that have impact to the spheres. The volume the damper bore and the pressure. A bigger sphere with higher volume give a softer sphere and it´s easy to sea the different between a 500 and 400 cc sphere. 16 Valve should original have the smaller 400 cc Sphere. Also a higher pressure and bigger bore fore the damper slot give a softer ride. The first thing you can do is to compere the outer size of the sphere if they are the same. The difference between the bore is maybe not so easy to compere depending of the small difference.
But the best is to look fore the marking on them. If you give as the marking here I think we can help you to identify them.
