Coolant leak at rear of engine

Post by RMS_TITANIC »

I have a leak at the rear of the engine, I'm not sure how to stop it. I Cannot seem to get the pipe on any more but I'm confident the hose clip is fully around the female pipe. I have notice slightly pushing upwards on the pipe does stop the leak, but I cannot find a way to hold it there. TIA
Worth noting I am at work which is very far from home where my tools are, I have just some screw drivers at my disposal.

It actually sounds like the pipe has splt. Pushing the pipe up is closing the split.
All I can suggest as a get you home is radweld and keep a eye on your coollent level.

Agree with that.
If only a shortish journey, check the coolant level, and leave the radiator cap loose (or off) to avoid the system getting pressurised.

Lots of similar advice on FCF for Citroens in general.
Forté Stop Leak seems to be the only one to get the nod, apparently from Citroen too.

If you can relieve the pressure, the gradual leak should not squirt, which might help get you home.
