Oopsie, a Big Senior Moment
Went to the local garage to get fuel. Arrived at the pumps and went to pick up my wallet from the passenger seat - not there. Bugger must have left it at home with my phone so went back. Wallet and phone nowhere to be found so asked the wife to ring me. My phone is blue-toothed to my hearing aids so I could hear it but not trace it so I went back to the car to double check. I found the wallet and phone right where I'd left them sitting on DKK's rear spoiler , luckily the GT version is big and rubbery enough to double as a phone rest, (and picnic tray), apparently
The elusive pair had travelled about three miles in total enjoying their alfresco outing without moving - obviously a testament to my careful driving and the BX smooth ride

Re: Oopsie, a Big Senior Moment
I did that with a set of house keys whilst changing a wheel.... and whilst on the subject of keys, some time ago I went to open the driver's door after cramming all my son's Uni stuff into the TD. The key snapped in the lock! Luckily this happened at home but still took an hour of fiddling with magnetic tool/long-nose pliers and carefully applied super glue to extricate the remnants. The spare was eventually located and I had another key cut . Looking at the key profile it has a weakness as two V's are cut in exactly the same place opposite each other.
Anyway, the new key worked fine until I went to fill up a nearly empty fuel tank. Only then did I discover the key didn't work in the fuel cap! Luckily after a minute of embarrasingly fiddling with the key, I found out that it needed to be pulled out of the lock my a few mm. Tip - check any new keys fit all the locks!

Glad I'm not alone, But did you have the added embarrassment of your wife standing at the front door, arms folded, eyes rolling
with that knowing look on her face
