This makes my blood boil

 I know its not a BX, but something very close to my heart!

I know its not mint but such a shame, another one bites the dust! Bit like the 16v being cannabalised for its engine, there was a lovely white phase 2 a guy bought he took the engine and box out bust the front (rare) bumper winching it on a trailer then offered the complete shell which he was going to scrap complete unless someone bouht it on the 16v club webiste and enjoyed antagonising its members by saying hes putting the engine in a decent car for once   A 205 as usual!

I can understand you being p*ss*d off about that Tim. Cars like the Rover above always make me wish I had a huge garden and pots of money as I couldn`t let something like this be crushed.

And Kit cars and anything else some moron chooses! Thousands of Sd1s have had there lives cut shourt due to the reputation of the V8 being highly desirable! My own car was possibly destined for the same fate!

What is different in buying a Rover for its engine and gearbox and buying another BX for spares for your existing car?

Presumably a Jaguar or something was also raided for its back axle and other parts.
