South Hants BXs

Post by DLM »

On the way to see the local dark green Hurricane for sale, I saw a red 16RS or similar, a bit down-at heel (no trims), driven by an elderly couple. Then, on the way back from Hurrican-viewing, my dark green TurboD was passed in the back lanes of Soberton by another K-reg dark green BX.

Then I saw a white TGD locally yesterday and when I pulled out of the road this morning another TGD, this time in a tidy-looking metallic turquoise, was passing by. How many BXs are hiding in South Hampshire, as most of the time when I see one it's not one I recognise?

Haha! Yeah I can't say I've passed another one yet. Or any BX since Monday in fact.

And thinking about it, I've never passed another 16v since I got mine, well over a year ago.

I'm loving it though. Only meant as a runaround but its quickly gaining my affection! Its on high miles but I'm amazed how well it drives. Its so smooth, seems alot smoother than the other BX's I've owned. I love the dashboard too! Being an auto with a small engine it really really drinks though. Averaging 20mpg at the moment with a light foot!

Body isn't good however. Alot of rust, OS rear quarter being the worst. Needs much TLC, which it will recieve this weekend weather permitting. I'll get some pics up then too.
