Very nice BX GTi 16v

Spotted a very nice white BX GTi 16v with twin headlight conversion, in Coningsby Lincoln a couple of weeks ago.

He was on the A153 and passed me in my Dolomite.

Not alot, they dropped the GTi badge early into production to seperate it from the standard Gti 8v, as they are quite different cars under the skin.

Here was me thinking it just had the same engine as the Mi16 Puegeot and an ugly body kit!

Ph1 is called a "19GTi 16v". As opposed to the "19GTi". Looks the same except for chunkier tyres and side skirts. Different seats.

The ph2 is just known as "BX 16v". Has big fibreglass bumpers, wrap around rear spoiler with flared vents, smoked rear lamps and the original wheels are Anthracite. Not that you'd know on Lukes as his isn't standard

I can't really remember specifics as we were flashing past in opposite directions, I just remember thinking. Nice.
