OK, you get the impression that BXs are becoming almost rare in the UK, reading this web site???, but BXs have always been VERY RARE in Australia (Orstralia to HRH) However, during the week, I live in Balmain, which is an old, inner suburb of Sydney, and I have to tell you that you see BXs quite often, here. A very small area (550 acres) with around 9,000 population in total. There are four BX here, regularly, that I am aware of: 19 TZi hatch, 19 TZi wagon (mine) 16 TRi hatch, and a silver one that I think is a 19 TRi hatch plus another 19 TRi hatch. There used to be a 16 valve until a few weeks ago. On the way to work in northern Sydney, I often see a few: one silver 16 valve, a dark red Mk I GT, and a blue Olympe 19 TRI. That car parked next to my blue olympe 19 TZi wagon in Waitara one day. So, there's a bit of total trivia for you! - maybe they just last longer here in the dryer, warmer climate? Of course, the orginal price paid for them here was considerably higher than in the UK, which may also have an impact. I think the TZi sold for around $39,000 Aus. dollars, new, in 1990. This weekend I wasn't able to get home to Pindimar and today, Saturday I have spotted three BXs
Not that rare here, yet.
