Recently picked up a Xsara VTR for not a lot of cash (I'd need a good reason to get one.....that was good enough)
It's not bad, but the heater fan doesn't always work. Had a similar problem in a Xantia cured by rewiring around the ignition switch. Is it a similar affair with a Xsara? Or is something else more commonly found to fail?
Cheers

Similar affair as the Xantia; the switch and the plug on the fan motor.
If it’s the switch, wriggling or turning to restart will bring it back.
A heavy bunch of keys hanging off the barrel can contribute to the fault.
If it’s the plug, it may be visible because the intermittency can cause blackening of the loose terminal.
The plug terminals will need tightening.
