Xantia diagnostic plug location.

Post by handyman »

Anybody know the location of the two pin diagnostic plug on an M regd 2.0i Auto saloon? I have the circuit diagram which shows the plug, but not the location.

Fruitless searches around the internal fusebox, the ECU box and the bitron have failed to reveal it.

It is a friends car and the management light keeps coming on, although the car is running perfectly. I am assuming that after a service/repair the garage that last serviced it did not bother to reset the system.

The garage in question is well known locally as an independent, with a penchant for ripping off Citroen owners, doing shoddy workmanship and replacing parts un-necessarily. To top that they charge Citroen rates! They are in East Sussex. Not one I recommend.

Whilst I've not personally dealt with a Xantia that early, most Citroen's that use the older two pin diagnostic socket have it located towards the rear of the engine bay somewhere, generally to the O/S in my experience.
